Kinchant or Teemburra

Heading up to Kinchant dam over ANZAC weekend, due to convenient accomodation at Dam. I hear a lot about Teemburra but not much about Kinchant. Is it worth having a go at Kinchant or should I spend most of my fishing time at Teemburra?

have a go at kinchant they have got barra, sleepy cod and red claw but if you want to catch alot of fish and have fun go to teemburra

Kinchant also has some sizable sooties. Catch rates from the Mackay Area Fish Stocking Association show that Kinchant has a higher catch rate than Teemburra however the species caught is more varied.

The best way to gain the attention of the barra in Kinchant is to slow troll the weed edges and drop offs.

Bait fishing will get you a wide variety of fish from catfish to sooties to sleepy cod.

Ask at the resort about what is working when you get there.
