G-day manson, only read your post this morning. How did you go up at teemburra. I done a morning fish two weeks ago and caught 4 barra around the teemburra creek area of the dam . Biggest fish was 73cm. All on B52's. Had several other hits but didnt stay conected. I have just traded my tinny in on a new one and upgraded to a 40hp 4-stroke Yamaha so now im not able to fish the dam any more as there is a 25hp limit. Not that anyone else seems to care as Iv seen heaps of biger outboards on the water out there.

Hi Staggy WE had a pretty good morning with 7 Barra ranging from 450 mm up to 700mm plus 3 Sooties 2 of which were horses. I missed about 4 and my brother missed about the same.

We mainly fished the timbers in the front area. Tried a bit of trolling but came up with not even a look. Most of the othere boats were trolling too.

Sounds as if you had a good morning Manson. Have you fished Eungella dam for sooties. Iv been up once for a quick look around and lost something huge and landed a small sootie around 30cm. I plan to spend more time up there after I sort out the new boat chasing sooties. Only been here in Mackay for 8 months and still trying to find my way around the fishing spots.

No not yet, I have been talking about spending a weekend up there chasin those elusive 50cm horses. One day I will but for now Teemburra will do, I am still trying to consistantly work them out.

    Hi Manson & Staggy

I havent managed to get to Teemburra for a few weeks so nice to see a few fish around still.

If you would like to find out a bit more re Eungella and those 500 mm horses drop me a personal note and I'll let you know how to contact the Mackay Area Fish Stocking Association who has plenty of members who are willing to share some info.

Manson , You should know that no person employed by the council works at all. Do you pull a string on a long bow or do you have training wheels like me

How did you know I shoot a bow? ???
I shoot a recurve with carbons, a lonbow with ash and when I am chasin stuff around the salt a compound. There only good for stuff where you doon't want to wreak your good bow LOL.

    Manson,
Yes did go to the range a few years ago, but there was a lot of infighting and crap going on, NOT my preferred scene. Sorry havnt got back sooner, went to Teemb as planned only got 1 at 70 cm, very quiet all over with all I spoke to. Am at Glenella
