New Tackle
Hope someone can help me.
I'm looking to get back into fishing and need some recommendations on buying some new tackle. I'm intending to do mainly freshwater fishing using both spinners and bait.
Can anyone recommend a good rod and reel combination for the above?
Cheers.

Re: New Tackle
You'll have to give a bit more information on what you're going to do(i.e the lures and techniques that you're going to use) because one rod isn't really going to cover all the options. Not without compromising a lot any way.

Where are you? Freshwater could be anything from Cod to barra to bass to trout, and you will need different rods.

Re: New Tackle
get a few rods with different line strengths so that each rod can only do one technique. For example, catching a trout by spinning. look for a lure that is designed to catch trout, light line and a threadline reel.
For a cod while trolling, look for a lure that is good for catching cod while trolling (e.g StumpJumpers), A rod that has a strong handle and heavy line
