Hi Jozz
I live in Queensland but you may get some info by contacting the South Australia Native Fish Association. Check them out at http://www.sanfa.org.au

Re: Trout in s.a.
The upper reaches of the Rivers Torrens and Onkaparinga, both hold good numbers of trout.Further to the North, the light River also holds a good population.
All the best.

Re: Trout in s.a.
jozz, if you still out there in computer land send me a reply post via this site as I have had a few years expierence chasing Brown and Rainbow Trout in SA and believe me there is more trout down there than a lot of people know about and whats more their of a good size. It took me a while to get onto them before someone helped me out with locations and techniques so I am more than keen to return the favour and help out with a few tips myself. The locations I fished where all north of Adelaide.

Re: Trout in s.a.
location photo's, this is the Light river near Kapunda the pools are fairly narrow and deep which is typical of a lot of the Trout fishery in SA.I have caught some nice Trout both Rainbow and Brown to around 2kg from this location using Rapala cd5 rt lures and bait fishing with small live yabbies or gents suspended under a float...
