    Fishing in Hinze

    Guys,

I'm heading down to Hinze Dam this week and am after some info on how it's fishing etc.

I've fished this place once before for 12 bass in a day session. It was pretty much one dimensional fishing though.

Anything that could help me at all would be great - lures/locations/times etc would be greatful and I'll try and return the favour one day.

With the neap tides this week and dark nights, try the shallows or weed beds with some boney bream .
Geez mate your becoming a fresh guru, you'll have one of those shirts soon, where you can see the material for all the badges .
You need a bigger rig and some more salt in your veins.
Come for a run this weekend in the Malcom Douglas special.
What happened to the Gotham city exploration
Will line you up for a parrot expedition in couple of weeks.

Have fun at Hinze, ive only tried it once there fromt he bank because im worried that my poor little leccy engine will run out of juice before it comes time to turn the boat around.

    Hey Bugman
Fishing at Hinze has been a bit tough latley but dont despair, good fish within site of the boat ramp are possible, soft plastics are the go at the moment, chose your own fav colors and hit the shallows, medium retreave rate keep it just above the all prevalant weed and covered bankside vegitaion, persist and u will be rewarded Best of Luck Bass Dan

    Webby,

For your information I'll be feeling a bit sick tomorrow but I'll be ok for this weekend's Gotham trip

I'd take you for a fresh fish again one day but I'm scared you might pull in a bloody snapper and sink my little boat.

Give that trailcraft a good bashing because I'm definitely interested in the rig at that price. I'll also be interesting in hunting some of those fish with wings as well.

    Landy,

It'll be the first time of taken the electric for a run so if you see three grown men paddling late in the day back to the boat ramp then you'll know I need a new battery.

    Dan,

Finally someone with some fishing advice. I thought it would be a bit tough so my tactic was ultra deep divers lures trolling around for a while - hopefully locating some schools - them I'll chuck a few soft plastics and if that fails I'l' send down the live hand grenades in the form of live shrimp. If artificial fails always result to fresh I say.

I was reading QFM last night about the recent comp there and the winner pulled his 14 fish from up and Rob's (or Roy's) run with is about 8km up thwe right hand side arm. I don't think my electric will get me that far. I'll be heading up the left and see how close I can get to the water tower.

    Hi Guys

I haven't fished Hinze since around May. My cousin and I went out about 8 times - never caught one fish... We trolled, did plastics and I didn't have a sounder then...

Re: Electric Motors - took me about 3 trips that my 105Amp battery wasn't enough and got sick of pulling the boat wearing rock shows or hanging off the front with a paddle or each putting the bimini have down to create a sail...

Yeah, Roys Run is such a long with and you need so much juice. I think only the Fishing Guy with the 4 engines and banks of batteries can get up that far...

Would love to try it again now with a sounder (should help he he) so if anyone is keep on a afternoon during the week, feel free to contact me David on 0414 851051
