Freshwater eels?

Just wondering if anyone knows of any spots in the Brisbane region, where I can get my hands on some big freshwater eels?

under the walter taylor bridge at indooroopilly is the best place i have found just from the pontoon using something real smelly
and can i ask why you want to catch them

I would think just about any fresh/brackish water you can find should have some resident eels about. From memory the females will push as far upstream as they can, even into some of the various dams/lakes (there's alot in Moogerah Dam) & the males tend to hang in the brackish water.

Anyways I recon Jewies advice was spot on.
