how far can you travel???
if you can travel a bit try Split Rock and Keepit Dams....with SR take the first turn off and you should come to a massive rock outcrop fish on the deep side with spinnerbaits and baits; worms, shrimps and yabbies. you should be catching yellowbelly cod and silvers...as well as the odd carp. i fished here in june and caught fish so i can see no problem catching fish there now. with Keepit fish around the dam wall on the rocky shores...THE KEY TO SUCESSFUL FISHING...even more so if there are a few trees there too.
