Somerset Dam

On the weekend just gone a mate and i fished somerset. Goin by the reports all fish were near the spit so thats were we started. After 2 hours my mate got a 44cm on a slider grub and then it went quiet so we started trolling. From then on it was good. We landed 30 bass on the troll ranging from 38 to 51. Mainly on Brolga and Mac lures. After a while i was getting bored trolling so we swapped over to spinnerbaits. Finding the schools with the new matrix we casted white coloured skirt spinnerbaits and let them fall through the school then slowly worked them back through. It worked well with a bass at least every 5 minutes. Also picked up 2 yellas. All bass were between 38 and 47 on spinnerbaits.

The next day we hoped it would be just as good but it wasnt to be with only 6 more fish on spinnerbaits and trolling.

Not a bad weekend any way.

Sounds like a great weekend...Those Somerset fish are a touch bigger then cressy's
