The road was ok about 6 weeks ago...just dusty. there is stuff all water in the dam at the moment, down to 25%.

    As for the fish..no idea.

Apparently sootys and barra have been caught at Teemburra , but not by me!!

    Re: Eungulla reports ?

    G-day Scotto,
we fished Eungella two weeks ago. The road was in good condition just the usual rough spots here and there. See pics in fresh water photos.

The fishing was a little slow with the morning sessions being the most productive. The the fish seemed to be holding a little deeper then usual. If we dont get some rain up there before January I think you will have trouble getting a boat into the water. I had to jack knife the trailer into the water off the hard rock launch area as a little further down it was all very soft silt.

You can camp at the dam for $3-85 a night per person. Cold showers and toilet.

Staggy:Thanks for the reply. What fish did you get and what did you get them on ???

I have a 475 Hornet and a Disco - so hopefully I'll still be able to launch ? I was also going to stay at Broken River retreat which look like a good spot with the family ?

However if Eungulla isn't a goer how far back is Teemburra and should be looking at it instead ? I am pretty keen to chase some BIG sooties as I'll be also fishing Awonga and Faust leading up to Eungulla.

    Thanks again for your information

    Gday Scott

I have to agree with Staggy with his findings on Eungella. I fished it last weekend and although we caught Sooties to 47cm it fished slow by usual standards. Just to chuck a spanner in, we did better in the afternoon

This is new territory to most of us up here coz we have never seen the dam this low. There were a few storms and showers while we there but it just lays the dust. The channel is defined through the trees but watch out for bumps anyway

Spinnerbaits worked for us with Bass lures the mates brought up from Brissy also worth throwing around.

Don't discount Faust's Sooties there are some horses in there too Spinnerbaits work well in there. Get some titanium ones coz the Barra like em too

    Hope this helps

    Neil
