me and my old man put about 20 silver perch in my grandmothers medium sized damn about 3 years ago just wondering what sort of size they would be now ? we waited about 6 months after we put them in and had fun catching them and puttin them back, we used live worms about half a metre under the water using a float. Are worms the best bait for silver perch in this type of situation or is there sumthing else that would bring them on the bite better ? and what time of day would we have the best chance in catching them ??
Silvers just get harder and harder to catch as they get bigger, worms are the best bet. The growth rate depends on the size of the dam, if its small they wont grow too fast.A guy up the road from me started a fishing park about 12yrs ago and made the mistake of stocking it with silvers, No one ever caught a thing .
