questions are.
1. is this a good time to be heading up there. are the fish more active over the full moon. i have heard that night trolling is the go at certain times.
2. where is the best place to stay.
3. any bities ie- mozzies, sandflies
4. am i going to fish my ring out and not raise a scale.(difficult to answer) i have heard plenty of stories of people fishing for days for no strikes.
thanks for any info
cheers

Re: holiday destination- awonga
Dazza,
That time of the year great a few mozzies but not to much to worry about the jury is still out on the moon theory as haven't been able to get any real conclusive data as yet. Will get a few on the troll but casting to the sticks is awesome fun, if you want a chance to catch a barra this dam is heavily stocked even more so than faust but foe some reason seem a little more fickle at Awonga. Accomodation is great in either cabins or bunkhouse or you can camp very clean as well have attatched a pic of a Awonga barra caught in Feb this year, hope this helps.

Hi Brownie, Daz, Cait, Jayne and I are thinking of going up in convoy. Daz and Cait will have baby Lily in tow, so what do you reckon about the accomodation etc for the little one. We were hoping to camp, relax and hopefully catch a few big barra, Probably cant go too far wrong only 5 hours from home.
