It used to happen quite often at Borumba, they would take Darlbergs, muddlers and poppers while fishing for Togas during the arvo, on hot clear days the Goldens and Togas could be sight fished, great fun.Still hear about the occasinal fish on surface lures/Flies around the place but Ive never seen it anywhere else. Ive got an artical somewhere that mentions it,It was from down sth and they used Buzzbaits at night,If I find it sometime Ill let you know. MQ
caught a few yellos on popper and even a couple of sivers (apart from the normal bass and others) caught them on lures from little river2sea buggies all the way to big halco nightcrawlers
but they have manliy been by catch when chaseing the bass
Yep.
At Windermere dam in NSW..We used Koolabung splash backs on warm summer evenings,if storms were building,so much the better. They're a 80mm surface walker.late afternoon or into the evenings around weedbeds or structure.Dark and natural colours worked well. The yella's take is more of a surface slurrrrp, simmilar to bream slurp.
hope this info helps.

Thnx for the feedback., My thoughts are fish have seen so many lures etc they are gettin cunning and ignoring them.Need a new angle to entice them, this may be it.
I'll have to give it a try!!!!
