Cressbrook Dam Fishing ???
Hi guys going for a fish at cressbrook on the coming weekend,
I'm new to the area and would appreciate any tips on where to fish. I'll be using lures and soft plastics, and trolling, don't know if it's the right time of year to troll??? any help would be wonderfull. [smiley=helpa.gif]

Re: Cressbrook Dam Fishing ???
Mate i havn't fished the dam of late but i went down to the bass comp the other day and talked to a few mates that went well. They fished up near eagles nest area (up cressbrook creek are across from the red steep bank) where the better weed beds were. Best fish were caught on pumpkin slider grubs. Just slow roll them down the front of the weed beds you should go alright. Spinnerbaitin the weed beds could be good to. Another option i like is suspended lures. Awsome fun. You will find this will be alright during the early and late hours of the day but move out in to the deeper water in the warmer parts of the day. Find the schools and fish these with plastics or troll some appropiate depthed lures. Good ones are smak 19, Blitz bagas, and deep divin macs, or even a deep divin dark purple hotlips. My favourite plastic for cressy is the pumpkin coloured slider or a green one. Another good spot is the point up bull creek with the toilet on it.
Hope i have helped

Re: Cressbrook Dam Fishing ???
Hi Guys,
I'll probably go out with the old fella Big_L this weekend if the weather is good. What are the boat ramps like for launching at the moment with the current water level ?
Regards,

Re: Cressbrook Dam Fishing ???
hey HAZ
There are two ramps at cressy, a steep one and a shallow one, we generally launch from the steeper one, and have no problems at all.
Good Luck

don't forget your surface poppers. there might still be some big'uns getting about in the shallows in either arm. the raparla skitter pops are the go.
