Live baits for lakes

Whilst at Lake McDonald, I have put out bait collectors/nets out for shrimp etc, however with no success. I have used all sorts of bait, even soap. Anybody have any info on best baits to use or areas to try?

Fishing there has been quite good so far, with alot of 50cm plus bass making an appearance on dark.

hey woolybugger just try fish frames mate we used to always have succes using them just make sure you find some good weed or rocks to put your traps near shrimp are hard to find during winter though but keep trying
