    Freshwater Jew?

    Someone the other day was talking about fresh water jew? What kind of fish is this? Never heard of it before. If anyone has a piccie, it would be awesome.

    a freshwater jew is an eel tail catfish

    jewies you can also catch them in the salt aswell

    Dan,

    Its just another name for eel-tailed catfish . Caught a decent one in Aplins earlier this year! in some places they are best species to target. I can think of better fish in Aplins

    Eel-tailed catfish Tandanus tandanus is the most common of them however I think there is over 30 similar species found in Oz. AKA jew, dhufish, tandan.
