Can't be of much help because I don't have anything to do with any but I know that the sourthern Cross fishing club often have a short note at the end of the fishing reports in Thursday Chronicle.

    Hope that helps...

Ask around about the Crowsnest fishing club . I went to Swains reef with them back in 1997 . Very organized !

That would have been in the glory days of the Crows Nest club under the stewardship of Dave Libke. Think Dave is a bit out of it with Trent Jenson these days. Back then Carl Jocumsen used to tag along with Dave before he got into BASS fishing. Other characters from those days were Audie (Ringbarker/Stick Picker) and Dave's old man.

Try the Kaballa Fishing Club, Dave Libke and John Savage ("Sav" from this site) have been involved with this one over the years, might pay to enjoy a cold beer to be part of this one , top bunch of people from what i've been told.

    Cheers

Hey Stew, I can actually help u with 2 clubs. I am part of of both Crow's Nest and Cabarlah.

Firstly Crow's Nest. Crow's NEst is still alive and goin strong. I was actually a committee member and news letter writer up until this year (got a bit lazy). It goes on a fishin trip every month. Both to salt and fresh locations. This weekend they are goin to toorbul. Every 1st thursday of the month we have a meetin at the Crowy pub. The club has a good trailer that goes away on trips which includes a big tent that we drink in and a big barbeque everyone can use and 2 tinnies with 4 hps. I actually work with the main man so i will get his details if you like.

Hey smithy Dave and his old man and trent are still part of the club. Dave is atually one of my good mates and have been fishin with him a fair bit. They both are still committe members but Dave with family things he doesnt have as much time.

Cabarlah CLub is a good little club and the same thing as crowy. Trip a month but have there meetings on the trips. Just guessin but they have a trip goin to boondooma comin up.

Both clubs have some good blokes in them and the trips are always good fun and plenty of the liquid gold is usually sunk. Some times the clubs have trips to the same locations at the same time which is good and also have a comp between the 2 at cressy every february.

If you would like any more info just put a thing on here and ill get in contact with you

    cheers Jordan
