> hI GUY'S. Mate's and I went to somerset last sunday and did no good. Left wondering where were the bloody fish. Fish finder had to be lieing. FISH EVERWHERE, but not on OUR LINES. Tried everything we could think of, but still no luck. Talked to some other people who were fly fishing and they were in the same boat. {so to speak}. Somerset was hard last weekend. I was there in a group of eight mates mainly fishing flies and the occasional soft plastic. Friday afternoon was a complete blank and we only got three between all of us on Saturday.

Sunday morning early was good however we got 20 (all on deep fly) from about 6.30am to 8.30am. About half were 50 cm or over.

I've never heard of a 90cm bass it would have to be a record to beat all records!

Like you we also found plenty fish on the sounder but the Sunday morning school was the only one that was feeding actively.

That seems to be the way at Somerset you just have to find a school that is feeding. So you either sit on one until it does feed or keep moving and trying to find one that is. Can be frustrating but just one those 50+ bass on a fly rod is worth waiting for.
