Fishing in qld

Hi all i just joined this site today so here goes. I would like to know what kind of lure or bait should i use for river fishing because i'm thinking of going on a tramp in Lamtion nation park and i want to cacth some fish befor you jump on me about laws. I would be puting them back and allso i would go to the bother of removing the barbs on the hooks. So If you can help please reply to my meg.

Mate,
I'd suggest ya try fishing in the canals around the gold coast.,To the best of my knowledge(which is very limited) the national park would offer very few oppertunities? to catch anything.Someone will correct me if im mistaken.
BTW how long ya been here? From New Zulland????
