There have been jacks released in the upper regions of townsville wondering if any off you cairns blokes could help us out on how big they are gettin in tinnaroo

From what I have heard from the DPI, the original stocking was in 2000, and the first legal sized fish was caught two years later. That's about all that I have heard, but it generally seems like survival and growth are good.

There was a theory being kicked about that all of the newly stocked barras were becomming food for the big snodgers that lurk in the depths, but it seems that at least a few of the jacks have escaped their clutches.
