Just got back from Hinchinbrrok Island and went swimming in several waterfalls in the area. Just thought I would let you guys know they were full of jungle perch, small barra and plenty of small jacks. Dont know if you can fish there but it looked awsome. Post soime piccies later
Cheers Devocean
Sounds absolutely magical! I dont think I'd want to pull a rod out at a place like that, just sitting & watching the fish would be a buzz.

Yeh Dev, Zoe Bay is just magic. [smiley=2thumbsup.gif]Has to be a nursery for jacks - there are literally 40 to a good snag. The water is nearly always very clear. Have seen some nice barra up the creeks there but with the water clear they did not want to play. We took the BBQ over one year and had a nice lunch on the beach and even went for a swim out the front off the beach - had someone on lookout duty though. Went for a walk up to the falls at the southern creek but they hadn't had rain for ages and it looked pretty ordinary. Just got a waterproof case for my digital so might do the trek in Feb for a look.
Mate they are flowing like you wouldnt belive now. You wont belive what the systems are like with a pair of goggles on. The place is yellow zoned now but I dont know for sure about fishing on the island. I doubt you would get a legal fish up there. But it is good to see a nursery at work.
