Aint heard anything good or bad & Motty hasn't called me for a bit. Hope Smithy or BC will see this & may have some local info for you. I havent been there for a bit either.

Thanks Fitzy appreciate the reply mate. I read one of your articles (buggered if I know when) you mentioned a the sticks and said one was painted white. Haven't got the GPS mark have ya ??? Just kidden but that was a while ago from faded memory. Was that trip with Motty. ??? ???

Theres more than one painted white, they pretty much mark the channel up thru the timber in the creek once you've turned right at Treasure Island.

Hey mate i fished there a few weeks ago and to say i struggled would be an under statement. Usually i only cast but after a day of nothing i tied on the good old bibbed lures and finally snared one yella. Other fellas caught a few fish but best lure was a brown blitz baga. The fishing was very hard. Supposedly they are now gettin them up the dams top end trollin spinnerbaits and jackals. Any away good luck.

We fished with motty last week BP and Boondooma, 2 x half days jackals worked best for our morning fish at BP and mottys said spinnerbaits in the afternoon all trolled.
Boondooma was a morning fish jackals trolled near the dam wall worked best and spinnerbaits out on the islands, fishing was slow??? acording to the ppl we chatted to and were doing it unguided. we did better than 60 between 2 of us. Was a great introduction to bass and yellowbelly.

At time if writting there was only 1 painted tree. Nah wasnt with the big Kahuna (motty) at the time. Was actually with a bloke called Trevor Cowell on the day in mention from memory.

I havent been to BP for a while. Too many other spots & things to get done. You konw the deal.......

Thanks guys your reports were bloody spot on. we fished fri arvo, sat morn till 11 then the arvo and sun morn. All we could raise was 2 Bass. None of us had any jackals and I lost my white spinnerbait on a bloody snag. Talked to a heap of the guys at the ramp and the one thing in common was lack of fish in the boat. The fish were everywhere, some spots the screen on the sounder was nearly black, but the buggas just wouldn't bite. After having said that, I spent the weekend in great company, the weather was great, a few drinks b4 bed, bloody hell beats mowing the lawn eh. [smiley=2thumbsup.gif]

By the way the dam was at 28% and there was algae around.
