Thinking of going back to my favourite fishing haunt, Lake Barumba. I used to fish this place quite often, however not recently now the water level has risen.
Does anyone have any reports for here with locations etc I used to fish up the creeks, fly fishing for Saratogas.
Well will you be targetin sara or bass?
for sara one of my mates caught a large specimen in the first bay just aroun the corner from the rock wall over a metre giant fish.
And bass on the corner just before the sticks theres a bit of weed.though i have pulled a fair few good bass from there
i may be heading up this weekend so ill give you a report

I hope you had better luck than I did. Borumba was very quiet last week with very little surface activity. Managed a few bass each day, but very slow, we worked hard for them (bait, spinnerbaits, hardbody and soft plastics). Some Toga came on towards last weekend but again they were patchy.
Well stumpthumpa i musta had more luck than you because over the two days we probably got a good 30 bass between the 3 of us and about 10 yellas also a few toga arond the weed beds.it was a pretty good weekend and if the engines fixed by next week ill be out there on tuesday and camp till thursday or friday.

I have a white 4.1 Allycraft Shadow Legend, 30hp Yammie and a Minkota bow mount. We fished both arms of the dam and also down at the ski area before it got too noisy. Maybe I will see you up there again one day - it is a great area.
Yeah some good weed beds are developing and i am hoping to get some good surface action over them when the water rises a bit.Jeffo, You'll have to give me a bell next time your going out there and ill direct you to the good spots.Well anyway keep those lines wet

Yeah jeremy the weed bed in borumba creek is great only ben up there twice though i will be heading up and camping as soon as the engine is fixed its been at the mechanic for nearly 3 weeks > but i hope to be getting up there ASAP.
