Murray Cod Trip
HI all, went on my first Cod trip monday/tues. We fished the Severn river mon arvo and tuesday morning. It was hard work but managed 3 nice Cod around the 60cm mark, which we released. Saw a few yellows swimming around and also a few big carp . Fish didn't seem very interested with the yellows only nudging the lures. River was lower than the last time my mates fished it which they blame on the lack of interest. But I was stocked to get my first Cod. Here is a couple of photos.

Better image. Caught on a Killer lure Flatz Rat. The other 2 were caught on an orange extractor, and a white/orange spinner bait.

Re: Murray Cod Trip
Yeah great country, lots of excercise walking up the rapids looking for holes. A bit more rain would be nice to flush out the green algae.

Re: Murray Cod Trip
Yeah nice place, gets too hot just jump in and have a swim. Best bit was seeing the cod race out from under a big boulder and eat my lure. Knew it was there as I missed it the afternoon before, did a stealth mission the next morning with a perfect cast and the rest is history. Northern NSW
