Texas - Goondiwindi - St George

I'm planning to go fishing in late June and wouldn't mind fishing the dumaresq at Texas or going to Goondi or St George. Last time I was out that way the water levels were quite low. I've heard there is a fire ban in Queensland Rural areas but when I go to the Queensland Rural fire brigade website I can't find any info. If someone wouldn't mind, does anyone know if a) water levels in these areas aren't too bad for fishing b) whether there are fire bans in place and c) I used to get crayfish from a bore drain out that way but it seems to have dried up! if anyone knows a good place to pick up crayfish for bait that would be great as in the colder months I suspect they will be deep in the mud.

    Cheers.

Mate I was talking to a old timer out around Texas, and he said the water levels are the lowest he has ever seen.

I would talk to some locals in Texas if I was you, they will piont you in the right direction. There is a good hole right in town near the bridge.
