    Growing Bigger_30.8kg Awoonga

not the best photo ever taken to show off a fish's size.
fish is 1260mm, 30.8kg, caught and released todayat Lake Awoonga, as well as another 1200mm 27kg barra(filmed landing and release with DVD cam). My mate Wayne is 103 kg, he contrasts the fishes size a bit, just took two quick shots before release. 35 kg fish later this season i hope!

by the way we are tagging barra again in Awoonga, that big barra was tagged. longer tags are being used this time, so when the fish grow, the tags are not overgrown in such a short time period. Left hand side back toward the tail is the tag location. any returned info is greatly appreciated. fish need not be killed for this information, a length is fine, location is not needed, weight is optional. heres a pic of one of about 40 odd tagged in the last 2 weeks. the returned information is a part of following the growth rates and comparing it to prior years for monitoring.
    cheers,

    Johnny,

I'm reconsidering my trip in October now.

Those fish are starting to scare me. I'm not sure I want to be floating around in a dam where could could swallow me WHOLE if I fell overboard.

Note to self: MUST UPGRADE EVERYTHING!!!
