Thats great fishing there scotty... We fish Cods country a fair bit and sometimes get up to 30 Cod in a day. Thats 2 or 3 anglers fishing out of Canoes or Yaks. Where lucky to get 1 cod over 60 cm per 30 or 40 fish with the average size being aprox 50 cm. Sounds like a real Honey Hole ya got there...

This is our average small water Cod...

I'd be keen to see a pic of the 92cm cod as I bet they have beter colours than the ones I get in SA. 92cm that would be a cod around 35lb.
Geez Mackmauler, I'd almost think about doing a swap. If you came to SA I could give you as close to a guarrantee of catching a 90cm plus cod as you could get. If you were lucky you could get one over 1m like this one I caught on the Sunday just gone. Took a quick pic prior to release.

Yeah... drawn the colours are a real nice up this way... that is if ya get em from the clear water around Tenterfield New England area.
But if ya get em out of the murky waters from the lower Condermine area west of Dalby and down to the Darling river they look like that Big MC you have in your arms. Nice fish there mate ... Fat as mud!

Attached is a photo of a small impoundment Cod from up this way. The small water cod from the rivers in the same area have a bit less bronze in them and a bit brighter green.

    Cheers Les

I agree, these fish definetaly have nice colours, however cannot go passed a healthy fresh water raindow trout.
