    Nice fish Trevor.

I'm getting a bit edgy too, Les. Seven more days work & I'll be heading North.

15 minutes is a long time to fight a fish Trevor! Seems a bit sad to lose a fish after being hooked for that long. But just think,, its only getting bigger for next time. Hopefully you atleast got to see the fish before it escaped. The fish were biting quite freely today. My girlfriend caught 4 herself up to 109cm. She was stoked. We caught 3 in 3 casts. She caught 2 of them in 2 casts. Our best was 118 cm, just before sunset.

Col_J .... yep ya right there mate.... getting a bit edgy for shore.... just about had enough of work.3 weeks out in the scrub is just to long... espeically when theres no water holes . And these blokes don't help much by posting up stories and photos of big silver fish . Well ... Mr Awoonga.... looks like ya not the only getting stuck into em over there Nice fish there Johnny [smiley=thumbsup.gif]
Sounds like there on the prod there and i guess there would of been a lot of fish caught there over the weekend.... 60 + boats on the dam ? Sounds fairly busy.

    Cheers Les

    Les,
bet you can't wait to get out of there mate. 11 weeks offff????????? crikey!! seems we may meet up at awoonga i imagine????? those who work hard reap the rewards! 11 weeks should be enough time to enjoy yourself, bulk up your casting arm, wear an inch off your prop, burn a million litres of petrol, swim lures a thousand kilometres, wind a million metres of braid back on to your reel, listen to your drag work as barra pull line, enjoy the qld sun, catch multitudes of big bad barramundi, and SMILE because your not at work!
    Enjoy yourself mate,
    hope to catch up
    Johnny M

Bazzamundi,,,,,,, you got a photo of that 127cm big barra, sounds like a rip snorter. you keep or release it????
    cheers

bosso.... mate there are a heap of posts regarding catching Barra @ Awoonga....have a look back thru the archives.... and ask around at the dam itself.... most fishos are willing to share some info get in contact with Johnny Mitchell Ausfiso A_DIF_PERSPECTIVE 0429723757 as he has started a charter up at Awoonga... can not put up the business dam as Ausfish has a filter on it.

    Cheers Les
