Re: baroon dam
yep, fished there when i was younger from the bank. also fished on the obi obi river which runs out of the dam through to kenilworth. i have personally caught bass, spangled perch, eel-tails lungfish and the rare mary river cod (endangered species) (2 off at around 60cm). all of these were caught on worms or live shrimp. am only getting into soft plastics recently, and dont have a boat, but seeing as no one else posted, i thought i might give you an idea whats around. by the way its baroon pocket dam or lake baroon.
cheers. if you need a fishing partner, drop me a line at 0419609156.
cheers

Sam
I was wondering the same thing on a recent trip to Maleny.
Let me know how you go if you decide to give it a shot.

Re: baroon dam
I have fished it from my kayak a few times and always caught bass, not huge (biggest went 42cm) but never a blank so far...
Fished fly, deep divers and soft plastics...
Lovely little spot and very peaceful, no outboards allowed on there...
