Went out fishing this afternoon with my fishing partner. Fished a stretch of the namoi for about 3 hours. I was working spinners and my mate was using hardbodies. I only got to hits the whole time but the highlight came about 20 minutes before we were due to leave. We decided to fish this last snag where an narrow stretch panned out with a slight current. Pat using and egg beater with 12 pound mono worked this large pink halco through the current and whack. With one hit the line and lure was annilated. Dumbass didn't have the drag set so now this is a large cod swimming around rather p#ssed off and with a lure hanging out his gob.

use heavier leader when targeting the big cod from the banks and heavier line in general, perhaps braid and an overhead wouldnt go a stray,
