Lenthals. Worth a try?

Just wondering if anyone has any info on Lenthals, as I will be staying at my sister's place at Hervey Bay for a few days & it looks nice & handy.

Is it worth a try? Is there a boat ramp? Overnight camping?

Col it's definately worth a try mate. Always Bass about and lately reports of Barra being caught in numbers. Not big Barra but enough size for some fun. Not sure whether they have opened the new camping site yet. Be warned the road in can get a bit lumpy if it hasn't been graded for a while. And yes there is a boat ramp. Also remember there is a 4 knot speed limit for the entire dam. Good luck.

camping area is open just kick the cow dung out of the way
plenty of bass caught in the nth arm of the dam

Thanks Dasher & Dan. Hope to be heading North the day after tomorrow for the annual dam-crawl. Just two more sleeps! Sadly, the deckie won't be coming with me this time because she has to work.

Lenthall sounds real nice & I don't mind a rough road in because it serves to keep vandals out.

Just found some info on Fitzy's site also. Says there is a 6hp limit, so can I just leave the engine switched off & use the electric instead?? Or do I have to remove it??

dont worry about ya motor use ya elect if you are worried about the bigger motor.
for me, if the ABT can use a 100hp motor so can i >

Thanks Dan. Hope to get away Thursday morning early. Haven't made any plans so far, so I might have a day or so at one of the Northern NSW dams on the way, then hit the Qld dams. Was going to start at BP, but there is a bass comp this w/end & I prefer my fishing among fewer people.

Should be around Lenthalls & Monduran on the w/end or early in the week. Might even give the boat a taste of salt at Hervey Bay.

I use a little white Stacer runabout with a 25merc, so say hello if you see me about.
