Yes, Petrol Powered boats are permitted on Somerset.
Yes 2 fish per species per session, live or dead.
It's in October, so it hasn't been held yet.

I fish because the little voices in my head tell me to
Dont know what comp you are referring to, but the Humminbird Minn Kota Kirkleagh Klassic is on 15 & 16 of October.Originally Posted by cabfisher

Havent checked for a week or 2. I doubt its anywhere near the thousand mark. They wont be turning any away on the weekend if its just over that figure anyway.Originally Posted by Rookie
You can enter beforehand & go in the draw for a Humminbird sounder (early nomination prize) or enter on the weekend.
Will be able to enter at Kirkleagh anytime after lunch (approx) on Friday the 14th.
Its shaping up to be an awesome comp...

or if entering up there you can go to the main stage area to enter.
The gates will be left open on Friday night & you can pay for your camping, $6/night (normally $12/night) on Saturday or Sunday before you leave. You will need to pay your camping fees to get out of the main gate.
The regular boat launching fee has been waived for Kirkleagh Klassic competitors only for the weekend.
All competitors will need to attend the 5:00AM or 8:00AM briefings to get their competitor cards & be able to go fishing.

Looking forward to weekend which willl be our first time at Somerset. Saw weather forecast a moment ago.....Rain for Saturday...showers for Sunday.... Can't let a bit of H20 interfere with a weekend's fishing! Rain might bring the bass on the bite? There's always a positive. Cheers, Mike.
