Just wondering about the river system in Brisbane
Hi
I thought Brisbane river is salt water, but I saw some posts are saying that there are freshwater species in thr river system.
I am just wondering is that like half part of the river is saltwater, and another half is freshwater??
Thanks for any advice

From about Colleges Crossing recreation reserve down is tidal. Although the salinity of the water this far up is quite low.
Anything above the Mt. Crosby Weir which is, (I'm guessing), about 1000 metres up stream of Colleges Crossing is completely freshwater.
