Poor old Atkinson Dam

I went out to Atkinson Dam this moring to have a look as I have not been there for many years.
What a sad sight it was.
It is just a little puddle now. The boat ramp is high and dry and nowhere near any water.
I remember going there as a teenager and learning how to waterski. Yes that was a long long time ago. There were often heaps of people there in the school holidays. Today it seemed so deserted. I could hardley believe it was the same place.
Please rain god fill Atkinson Dam and bring it back to life.

yeh mate skied there myself used to step off the boat onto the grass area near the picnic area. want bloody long legs to do it now. rains a coming marge can feel it in me bones.

Yep, it is sad. I ended up sellin me caravan I had there.

There's plenty of saratoga swimming around in that puddle now. One saving grace of the prolonged low water has been no ski boats killin the 'toga while we were trying to build their numbers up.

Now Id love to get out there & catch one on my babies..... just need some rain.
The diversion channel has been fixed so its up to Huey to do the rest.
