Lake Moondarra

Anyone here fished Lake Moondarra? Been out a few times but never had any real luck. Tried using plastics chasing barra and also tried flesh baits for some other species. Just wondering how others have gone?

Howdy mate.

Got a mate that live's/d at Mount Isa and he would fish Moondarra all weekend, every weekend. I know that he uses alot of large hard body lures in heaps of diff colours for the barra in the deeper weedier spots at Moondarra. If your after barra mate i wouldnt be in too much of a hurry to use the plastics, try a wide variety of hard bodies in diff area's and progress from their. My mate chases alot of other species out there aswell, and he doesnt bother much with bait, he just sticks to the lures.
