Hi bneue 4,
I live at wellington point in brissy. We have at 5 boats of two fisho's at this stage keen on on the classic. I have only fished Monduran once, that was early this year. Monduran is a great impoundment to fish. Also from all reports the Monduran Anglers & Stocking Association have catered of a first class fun weekend with all bases covered for the clsssic.
$30.00 gets you, registration for the classic, camping on friday, saturday and sunday, heeps of randy draws, licensed bar, food available all weekend, hot showers and boat security o the water.A Stocked Impoundment Permit is required to fish Monduran. I contacted the MASA the lads sent me some entry forms which I am copying and placing in local tackle shops. The camping area is tops with good clean showers and loos , two kitchen areas with food prep and tables and a koisk. One word of warning, I have never come across ground so hard when it comes o driving in tent pegs. At least where the powered sites are. The people who manage the camp grounds are very friendly and helpful. Let me know if I can help with entry forms or contact Artie Stevens 41574137, John Finlay 4157622 or Ian Jensen 41572298.

Hi, you's wouldn't happen to have a date for the comp at all?
Hi Guys,
14th and 15th of October. Great Family weekend .There's just about a prize for everything.
Give John Finlay a call if you need to know more info, you'll find he will tell you everything you need to know and more, great bunch of guys and girls who organise this weekend.
And as wobbygone said bring strong tent pegs , the ground is solid all over the place.

Wobby - I am keen to find out a little more about this - John's number you quote above seems short by one digit...do you have the correct number?Originally Posted by wobbygone

Hi,i went there a cople of months a go and did'nt catch nothing eccept catfish. That why we call it lake catfish dam.
Hey Guys,
If you going to find out about the Classic at Monduran just ask about the free camping on Friday ,Saturday and Sunday night as I've heard the company who has taken over the camping grounds are going to charge $6 a head per night camping fees. Nothing to do with the stocking group as they thought they had an agreement for free camping.
Cheers Foxie![]()

Word of warning - don't be put off as it's a great weekend.
Last year over 800 competitors. This year they expecting 1000.
Great facilities though - one of the best run camp grounds around and Rob and Ann who manage the park or more than helpful and catering.
I might be bias but have been to a lot of freshwater comps and agree with black sheep the classic is the a great comp and run very professionally. Rob and Kelly are doing a great job with Rob keeping his finger well and trully on the pulse as far as the fishing goes and is well worth catching up to if you head to Monduran.
Cheers Foxie
PS
catch up to you at the comp Black Sheep, and Anne works in the office Rob & Kelly manage the park
