No i don't mate but will take a couple for you sometime in the next couple of days if you like? PM me your email address and i will send them through. I don't really want them posted on the open forum as my dad and i spent days and days working out legalities of size and how best design them so the shrimp can easily go in but not out.

If others are interested in seeing what we have done PM me and i will send through some info and pics.

there is a lot of work involded in making these up, if your not keen to get your hands cut up and spend hours making traps the standard small entry rectangle traps you get for about $6-$10 catch the most out of everything else we have tried.

If I use bait(not too often but occasional) in Borumba I will normally head up to the junction and fish in either arms, but I'll look around for any largish tree with the top busted off. The top half of the tree can only straight down. Cruise around the stump until you see structure on your sounder. You will find yellowbelly, silver perch, mary river cod and the occasional bass. Run your sinker at the bottom of your line and the hook around 30cm above to avoid any snags.

If I were to try fishing in an unfamiliar lake like Borumba with lures I would first try some trolling with some 9ft-15ft various medium sized lures or fish the points and weed banks with some jackals/spinners or even surface poppers if its early or late in the day. Keep and eye on the sounder for schooling bass while doing this. Borumba is a very picturesque dam and its true about the deer and dingos drinking from the water. The missus loves it, In fact borumba is her favourite dam around.

When it comes to the fishing- there is no rules except have a good time and look after the lake and the results will come.

Have a look at this saratoga caught in the main basin off some weedbanks on a spinnerbait. Even those pain in the bum skiiers didn't bother him. It goes to show that you'll catch them anywhere in borumba!

Thanks for the info Cowboy on all the other fish. I'm going to give the dam a fish some time in in late Oct this year with my 10 year old girl.Its her dream to land a toga.
