Dutton Trout Hatchery Ebor
Hi all,
Lobbed up at Ebor for the opening of the trout season with great anticipation, for the size and number of Trout that would normally be on offer up there this time of year. Sadly disappointed. Due to extreme dry spell last summer the Dutton Trout Hatchery at Ebor suffered a 70% stock loss, and as such did not have the stock to release. This Hatchery releases a large number of fry, fingerling's, 1, 2 and 3 year old Trout into the creeks and streams around Ebor every year. And due to this a large number of excited Trout Fisher people arrive at Ebor for the long weekend opening of the Trout season. This inturn boosts Ebors small economy if only for the weekend.
This Trout Hatchery is paid for by NSW Fishing Licenses.
This Trout Hatchery was almost shut down in the last few Months by our wonderful State Gov.
If any of you feel strongly against this type of threat, you could send a nice letter to the NSW Fisheries and/or your local MP.
Regards and tight lines
Rob
