Hi All
Can anybody help? Want to fish the river above the crosby weir. have a 12ft porta-bote with 4hp yammy comimg from nth bayside. like help with best place to put boat in / things to watch out for & is there any good maps of the area. lures & such would help to.Don`t actually want you to catch the fish I will try to do that myself but any help would be great.

mate I don't think you are aloud to boat there.
you can boat up stream from kholo but not down stream as that ends up at Mt crosby.

Thanks ele-phrez shows how much I know. do want to get in up there somewhere anywhere below wivenhoe will do will see if harbours & marine have charts for up that way

Easiest place to launch is at Twin Bridges just outside Fernvale. Upstream from there is good water. Downstream is restricted by a set of rapids 1 km downs. Spinnerbaits work.

aussiebasser is on the money for launch, now that the weather is warming up it should be a decent spot for a fish too. Hmm, must get the kayak back down there some time.
