Re: monduran nex week
jimbamb,
The water has warmed considerably in the last couple of weeks with water to 28.5 degrees in places. I found it fairly quiet with most arches in the 25 to 30 foot depth range and not many of them either. I didn't go far up the dam at all so I don't know if there was any better action up that way but I would probably be looking for active fish back in the 10 to 15 ft of water rather than in the really shallow bays.

Re: monduran nex week
Jim, On average we have been getting 2 to 4 in the boat and losing another 4 to 6.
Working the Bays not to far up. They have been biting all different hours from 7.00am to 1.00pm. As you know , keep the lure wet and you will be in for a chance.
I have been working in around 13 feet to 5 feet. Average size is around 96cm. Water temps to 27 deg.
Good Luck and have a great time
Brett.

Know of a crew that landed 16 and dropped 3 in one day. Skunked the day before but cracked the code the next day.

Re: monduran nex week
Roo,
When you get that code I will buy it from you as well.
So far it has been a quiet run , Last Friday saw 2 in the boat and 1 dropped.
Up till then we were averaging 6 + dragged from the trees and losing another 6+.
I to have asked a lot of guys back at the ramp with the same results. Yes , No , or a Couple.
They are a bit quiet so far this year and I have found their Turn on times are different each day. Gotta fix that bl***y switch . Where you could almost set your watch by your first Fish in the past couple of years depending on what month you are fishing in.
Most think because we are Guiding we are on the fish each session so we are followed all day, in actual fact all I am trying to do is find a quiet area for my clients to fish in. Touch wood so far this year we have not missed on a trip, but have come close, Somedays you just have to put a few more casts in than others, just dont give up.
Our best recorded session was 25 boated and whatever we dropped, and that was well into double figures. We have weeks of Great Hook ups then a week of Geez whats goin on.
Theres been a few times after 7 or 8 hours fishing were we decide Last Cast, then 4 come on board.
Some have been from late 70cm but most have been high 80's to late 90's with the odd meter + for good luck thrown in.
I have found the Bigger ones do poke their noses out more around the moon in October of past, so we'll see this year.
