Monduran Family Classic
Any reports from Monduran over the 14th & 15th October?
The annual Family Classic was held so I assume someone had some success and (hopefully) some pics.
I'm going up there on Friday and need a heads-up on recent results.

Re: Monduran Family Classic
Peter all I have heard is that there were around 40 Legal Fish weighed in.
That is info I received from a client.
There would of been a few more that were not weighed in , as a few guys I know wont bother driving back unless it is a decent fish.
Brett.

Re: Monduran Family Classic
yeah i went up for the comp great weekend the biggest barra was just under 12kg and was 89 cm but the bass and the catfish were the easiest fish to be caught for the weekend as there were many caught and yeah was a great weekend and seems to be getting more and more popular each year the most productive bay was bay B seemed to be where most the barra were caught our boat only landed one barra for the weekend only went 45cm but still it was a barra.but yeah as munchi said now that all the boat traffic has cleared the fish will proabably come back on the chew like they were about 2 weeks before the comp but once again well done to the comp organizers and i will defently be back again next year

Thanks for the information, guys.
Hopefully I can post some pics of barras next week if I have any success at Monduran this weekend.

Re: Monduran Family Classic
Hi we just got back from the comp and it was great. We wrote a full story about the comp but it didn't load up so we lost it. We will update it later.
We caught what would have been the winning Barra but didn't have time to get it to the judges ha fishing you have to love it - frustrating yet fun LOL. Well done to the winner we hope you spend the Grand on fishing gear ha maybe some lures!!!!
Here is the photo of the nice 89cm fish. We got back to camp and were told the best fish was 84-86cm for the weekend - damn.

Re: Monduran Family Classic
Hi Matt, thanks for saying g'day that's what we joined the site for to meet people with common interests and to share ideas. We're aiming to spend around 50 days on barra dams over the year and would love to catch up with people who love the outdoors and fishing. Was a great weekend of fishing at Monduran. We're heading up to Awoonga in a few weeks to see how the Daiwa Barra series goes up there and then maybe back to Monduran the week after. Did you guys have any luck yourselves on the Dam. They certainly made us work for it - 12 hours on the dam to land the one we did.
Cheers Lyndon & Kel

Re: Monduran Family Classic
I almost made it up there and it sounds like the lake was on fire,
Congratulations to Mike Connolly winning the comp his experience on large mouth bass really paid off, a well earned win,
Can he back up in the ABT round????
Cheers Chris
