Toppy, you mentioned you have some knowledge of aeroators that would be appropiate for a dam situation.
Tell me more, I am very keen to know what you might be able to help with.
Back to Wuruma dam - it is looking good again, oxygen levels are good, water colour is good and the bass and golden perch, which were relatively unscaved in the delema, are on the chew and some very nice ones there too. The other species that is catching well is the ole Jew.
Some monsters around 50 & 60 cm marks.
Keep reading Bush n Beach fishing magazine, most months I mention what is happening at Wuruma dam, Cania dam and Callide dams as well as the Dawson river.
Hi Helen, this is a site that may give you some ideas or answer some question about water quality. www.aquasonic.com.au & I have no relationship to this company its totaly a random choice.
Check your p.m
Cheers
Toppy
Thanks for you reply Toppy, I will get onto that web site and check it out. I am serious about doing something about an aeroator for the dam but have alot of homework to do before hand.
I am aware of aeroators in Callide and Mcdonald and there are also some in Victoria. It isn't a cure as some dams have rolled with aeroators but it does save some fish.
Barra are a very touchy fish anyway when it comes to the enviourment.
As for your views about who is responsible - I agree and wish others would to and get on with helping the problem and not just wingeing about it.
I will be in touch at a later date.
