    Pretty regular occurance at Tinaroo.
Enjoy the catfish if you try it at Awoonga, but yep surely catchable.

I was fishing at Awoonga with a mate recently, and he caught a Boney about 20cm long. I pinned it on a 7/0 Monster worm hook and fed it out and forgot about the rod in the rod holder. After a bang and a clatter, poor little barry boney didn't come back.

don't see why not...one of the best baits up in the cape is cherabin (large native freshwater shrimpie things) they never last long fed out towards a snag under a float....but IMO its nowhere near as fun as targetting them on lures...trip to lakefield mid year i left my mates to live bait with cherabin and chucked lures instead...i outfished them at least 10-1

Thanks guys. I plan to toss around a few lures and drift out a few live shrimp at Monduran in February. I'll let you know what happens!

Peter, I have talked to guys who have been on a trip with me and used Barred Grunter and Gar with success. Shrimp will give you a nice haul of Catties and Turtles.
Have a good time and see you on the water.

    Brett.
