    please identify this fish

    caught this today at north pine no idea what it is

    has a long spine on the dorsal fin about 10cm long, rounded nose, took a 2inch paddle tail.
    Bring on the Marlin!!!

    maybe a very lean boney bream or is it camera angle makes it look lean.

    100% sure its a bony bream mate you should have put a hook in it and thrown it back out!!!!! Will have to remember to pack the 2' plastics for them next time.. Never caught one on line before.

    With a cast net when prawning in the Pine. Sometimes get a school of them around the 20cm size. Supposed to be very good bait for mud crabs
