i was just wondering if anybody could help me out on this one. i have a calcutta 150 and a loomis crankbait 783.
is this a bad pairing. should i have a bigger calcutta such as a 250 on this rod. appreciate any opinions

I don't see any problem with this pairing. I use a 903 Crankbait with an ABU 1500C, and a 781 with either a 2500C or a Calcutta 50. The crankbaits are very light for their strength, so a smaller reel keeps the overall weight down.
