Just wanting some recommendations for lure choices chasing jacks in the rivers/ creeks of the GC broadwater/ southern Moreton bay. Anyone have some favourites?? Interested in any replies. Thanks, Katrina
Not fished that area much at all but I'd expect all the regular suspects.
Casting
Manns 10's, Mad Mullets, RMG's, Flatz Rats 10's & 15's. I've been having reasonable success with the Prawnstars recently also.
For trolling in sections like the upper Nerang you'll need something that gets deep. I've fished it only twice with Manns 20+ and similar deep lures trolled against the tide to get them right down. Use heavy gear because there are some big fish and some nasty structure that they bury you in in a heart beat. Expect cod , trevally, and jacks, the occassional big lizard and some unstoppables.
