Hi Guys

Just moved to Brissie from Darwin for a new job. Am looking at fishing the Brisbane River and maybe the Pine River as well.

Anyway, I have decided to grab a light general setup for the rivers and maybe the Bay and Pumicestone Passage.

I've liked everything I have read about the Okuma Avenger series, and am thinking about grabbing an AV30 model. Problem is, none of the tackle stores I have tried seem to carry the Avenger range.

I can get one on-line, but I would like to get a rod as well and it looks as though the shipping cost of a rod on-line is a little bit high.

I was wondering if anyone had some ideas on where I could pick up one of these reels, and also if you had any advice re: what type of rod I should look at, it would be appreciated. I'm thinking about a Shimano Backbone, 6'6 3-5 kilo. Pretty all purpose stuff.

Anyway, any help you have would be really appreciated.
