    Softies for Barra

Has anyone been using Squidies or any of the other softies on Barra in the dams. The only time I used them was years ago in the Salt but that is a differant story to them boys up in Teemburra. Anyinformation on what size and colours have been working for youse would be muchly appreciated. Also whats the best method to work them.

Manson, there was a heap of info posted here a ways back but it was all lost with a recent glitch in the Ausfish system.

Bomber and the Big Fella got into the Faust Barra with the 4" shads featured here on this site.

Best colour? Chartreuse I think was the favourite.

A strong enough jig head was the main problem at the time .

They will probably give you more info when they see this post.

    Randall,
you have covered it already, the Jig head thing was a proublem.
i wouls to find some serious heads, the Gene Lewre (spelling) seem to be the strongest around.
    would love one i a 1/2 oz and 5/0 hook !!

    Hi Manson,

Sorry for the late reply but have just relocated and set up the computer again as The Big Fella said the jig heads were the main prob in Faust with HUUUUUUUUGE Barra straightening the Heeler jigs we were useing the Chateruse was the colour that worked well in the 4" Big Bite Shad.

    Regards,

    THE BOMBER
