Just an idea I use on my rods that do not have hook keepers on them.

What I did was get a small cable tie and a split ring and cable tie it above the foregrip - Generally with baitcasters , in particular calcutta's if you hook the lure on the reel you end up scrathing the reel. Also not a good idea to hook lures on your runners.

Good idea there Snelly........I hook my lures on the rod runners but ONLY AT THE BASE OF THE RUNNER AND NEVER THROUGH THE EYE.
Always wash the rod butts with warm soapy water to avoid cockroaches eating them away!!
