Opening Day of Spanish mackerel season

Towed the boat to the Sunshine Coast this morning with my brother.
The ramp car park was almost full at 5.30 am . Nice flat ocean on the way out with about a metre of glassy swell.
Got to my spot and put out two dead baits , commenced the search for a mackerel show .We went through a mackerel stack straight away - bang / bang , we had our bag limit of 2 in ten minutes .Then turned our sights on a few Sweetlip . Sorted a feed amongst the under sized wire netting cod .

Those endangered Spanish at it again.

Me and Macca headed east of Moreton Island this morning.............. back over the south passage bar by 9.30am.
