looking for a spray jacket or raincoat to replace my old one. I have looked in Glascraft, Kmart, Target, B&L, Lowes. Glascraft had some good quality (and expensive) Burke jackets. The rest had nothing. I'd rather pay $50-$100 and get something reasonable quality butno more.

Anyone know where to get them?

There are a whole heap of outdoors stores in the Valley that might be worth having a look at. I picked up a nice Columbia jacket last year for a decent price.

try tackle world, jacket and pants were around $175 good stuff though none of this dribble (water) getting down the back. Brand is Team, waterproof pockets in pants and jacket. fabric is pvc/polyester/pvc and guaranteed 100 % waterproof. clean with warm soapy water. hope this helps.
cheers
Joe.

Thanks for the ideas. Will check a few of those out. Reckon the safety shops might have what I am looking for.

Cheers,

whitworths chandlery at the Gabba. A boaties wonderland & rarely beaten on price or range. Personally I prefer Horne - my current jacket I purchased in 1983.

This year I replaced the velcro when I couldn't find someone willing to stock them anymore ???. The sleeve inserts went about 5 years back but they are such a tuff well built item I think tackle stores don't wnat to stock em not so much because of their slightly higher price but once you have one you won't need another for a very long time.

That's my conspiracy theory. ;D

ps Budd's at cleveland were willing to order one in for me though

If you use ebay and are willing to buy from the states, go to fishing and then search on columbia. You will find a bloke selling Columbia Ibex pants and jacket sets. You should be able to pick one up for between US$25 and US$30 and will cost just under US$20 to ship here. Oh, but you better like black.

Cheers, Clutter
